O’Malley Says Maryland Not Anti-Business

Subject: O’Malley Says Maryland Not Anti-Business

While making a campaign stop at the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, Gov. Martin OMalley remarked that he doesnt accept the notion that we are anti-business. Typically, denial is the first of five stages of grief and with high unemployment and no plan to get Maryland moving again, there may be more grief in the near future for Gov. OMalley.

As we all know, the leaders of our great state ARE anti-business. The non-partisan Tax Foundation ranked Maryland as the 5th WORST business tax climate in the country. Northrop Grumman chose Virginia over Maryland for their headquarters and Gov. OMalley continues his policy of borrowing more money to cover our deficit. Small and large businesses alike will be ducking for cover if the same leaders are re-elected to another term.

Just this week, Business Week highlighted the effects of Marylands millionaire tax on Montgomery County. According to county data, 28% of those making $1M or more no longer do, or have left the state altogether. Even liberals are irritated by Gov. OMalleys tax policies. Council President Mike Knapp (D) said that OMalley has taken Montgomery county for granted.

Now is the time to push for more pro-growth policies and hold candidates for elected office accountable. AFP-Maryland encourages you to sign our November Is Coming petition to let the politicians know if they vote against the free market, we will vote them out in November. Feel free to forward the petition link to friends and family.
