Dear friend,

Three months ago, I entered the race for Governor of Maryland to take Maryland in a new direction. I believe firmly that with new ideas and proven leadership we can create more jobs, lower your tax burden, and fix the budget mess in state government.

I am honored to introduce to you my partner in this journey. I have selected Mary Kane to be my running mate and to serve you as Maryland’s next Lt. Governor.

Mary is a working mother, a small business advocate, and an accomplished attorney. As the daughter of immigrants from Ireland, she gained a unique understanding of the American Dream and the sacrifices families make every day to afford their children a brighter future. As Lt. Governor, Mary will work tirelessly to ensure every family in Maryland is afforded unlimited opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Mary is a director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she helps lead programs that assist emerging entrepreneurs. She also plays a vital role in the Chamber’s Military and Veteran’s Initiative, which encourages companies to employ U.S. veterans and their families as they transition back into the workforce.

I am particularly proud of Mary’s tenure as Maryland Secretary of State in my first Administration, where she implemented the Maryland Safe at Home program for victims of domestic violence. A resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, she and her husband, John are the proud parents of three children. I know the entire Kane family is proud today.

Please join me in welcoming Mary to Team Ehrlich. We look forward to seeing you on the road soon.

Sincerely,

Bob
