Help Save Maryland Rally at CASA’s New Taxpayer Funded Clubhouse a Success!

A special thank you to the 45 Help Save Maryland members who took time from their busy weekend schedules to stand up to CASA of Maryland and Maryland’s federal, state and local politicians who fund and support CASA’s illegal alien agenda. Citizens from eleven Maryland Counties were represented at our rally: Montgomery, Cecil, Howard, Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Frederick, Talbot, Baltimore (City & County), Washington and Harford. It was an effective event.

Led by Democratic Senators Milkulski and Cardin, and supported by Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D), multiple State Senators and Delegates from PG and MoCo Counties (D), MoCo County Executive Ike Leggett (D) and a number of PG and MoCo Councilmen (D), it was truly an illegal alien lovefest/ mini- Democratic National Convention.

Every one of CASA’s political panderers had to run the gauntlet of HSM citizens carrying patriotic signs and American, MD & Arizona Flags. You can’t appreciate the shock and dismay on many of the politicians’ faces as they drove by to actually see citizens challenging their lawless activities. Those that testified in Annapolis this past session against funding for CASA and Identity Inc and for implementation of the federal E-Verify program in Maryland know what I’m talking about.

We had one minor confrontation. The real estate company Sawyer Realty Holdings, College Park, MD which owns and operates the slums (but not the roads) surrounding the CASA Clubhouse attempted to violate our First Amendment Rights to free speech and free peaceably assembly. Tom Rucker, VP of Real Estate refused to let HSM citizens on the property near the main event. The Prince George’s County Police, clearly in a bind, politely asked that we remain outside the event in an area with shade and full access to all attendees entering the event.

Out of respect for the many PG Police Officers forced to work at this event we decided not to challenge Rucker’s lawless pronouncement and walk up the public roadway to the CASA building. How ironic that the PG Police are being furloughed for a week or more this year, but PG County somehow has millions to help build the CASA facility which will attract and support countless Hispanic illegal aliens in PG County.

You can send Thomas Rucker of Sawyer Realty a short e-mail to "Thank him for his hospitality!" He is a true sellout to America trucker

My favorite portion of the event? CASA maintains that the new Clubhouse is a "multi-cultural center" for all to use. They even had a swearing in ceremony for new legal immigrants at the event. Interesting because the musical group CASA had serenade our politicians was a Marichi Band from Mexico. Welcome to America!

This same Marichi Band walked over after the CASA event was finished to play some Mexican music for us. How thoughtful of CASA! But before the Marichi boys could get their act together all 45 HSM members proudly sang God Bless America! I’m sure it was the first time CASA’s clientele heard the song.

Montgomery County Sentinel Interviews Former Gov Bob Ehrlich (R)

As part of HSM’s educational outreach activities we have circulated many quotes from Governor Martin O’Malley regarding his views on illegal immigration. We are now dedicating space to publish the views of former Governor Bob Ehrlich and current candidate for his old office. There is an interesting interview with Ehrlich on a number of issues in the June 17 issue of the Sentinel. Below are the questions posed by Montgomery County Sentinel Reporter Paige Hill and Ehrlich’s answers. (I was unable to find an electronic copy so I retyped the Q&As):

Q- Immigration is a growing issue in Maryland, what is your stance on CASA of Maryland?

A- I think if CASA fulfilled its original mission, which is assimilation, I would be shouting from the rooftops how wonderful they are. To the extent that they want to assist illegal behavior, I will not be shouting from any rooftops. That is an inappropriate use of taxpayer money.

Q- Do you have a general plan to deal with illegal immigration in Maryland?

A – Well, the plan in Maryland has typically been treated as a federal issue. We, at the state level, can deal with it in three ways: drivers’ licenses, in-state tuition and the funding issues we were talking about like with CASA. If the CASAs of the world cleaned up their acts, we’d be very happy to support them. I oppose illegal drivers licenses and the compromise I struck was an unfortunate one during my term. Gov Martin O’Malley failed again to protect the state by following suit. It takes six years for an illegal to giveup a drivers license, and that cant go on. And I oppose in-state tuition.

Obama tells Kyl in private Oval Office meeting: I won’t secure border b/c then Republicans will have no reason to support “comprehensive immigration reform.”

promoted from the diaries because duplicity should be publicized

On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Tempe Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, the President told him, regarding securing the southern border with Mexico, “The problem is, . . . if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’” [Audible gasps were heard throughout the audience.] Sen. Kyl continued, “In other words, they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’”

Sen. Kyl also said he reminded President Obama that the President and the Congress has an obligation, a duty, to secure the border.
