Gingrich Wants New ‘Contract With America’ Written By Tea Partiers

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told a conservative conference in New Hampshire this weekend that he wants to see a new version of the Contract With America, the document credited with helping Republicans take Congress in 1994. This time, he said, it will be written with the help of tea partiers.

According to the Union Leader, Gingrich said Dick Armey — the former House majority leader under Gingrich and the current head of FreedomWorks — is soliciting online suggestions from tea partiers for a new contract.

“The idea is to go out to the whole country and say, ‘What would you have in a contract with America to politicians?'” he said. “It’s a very interesting idea.”

Gingrich and Armey were both closely involved with the original contract.

Actually, one of the tea party patriots created this idea all by himself. He created two websites and ; receiving almost 200,000 suggestions from citizens across the USA. He is calling it the Contract From America! After receiving all of the initial suggestions, he has now created to “whittle” down the suggestions to 20 which will comprise the final Contract from America to be presented to Congress and the President. Go to and take the survey to select the final 20 ideas to make our country better! Newt was contacted as part of the process and, sort of, jumped the gun on the process. He is now admitting that the idea was not his own and was that of a single guy who has passion for this country. go to the site and take the survey. Be part of the movement to make our country better!
