A Rhetorical view of the budget by Senator Barbara Mikulski – Out Of Touch with American People

You know, I am really getting sick and tired of the same Rhetorical Bull Crap, you know, we are for the middle class, we aren’t going to tax the Middle Class, we are trying to stimulate jobs for the middle class, yadda yadda yadda.  I just had to post this email that was forwarded to me by a friend.  It proves that this Congress must change and The Tea Bangers must continue to hound them like White on Rice.  Her continuous vote of the Party Line must be put to an end.  Her allocation of over 30,000 Visas for the Mexicans to come back to the Eastern Shore just to pick crabs is another example of why this out of touch Senator needs to be removed from Office.  Why aren’t these jobs going to those that need them? Legal Americans.  Why are they going to the Mexicans whom these Visas were for?  I just don’t get it, One Nation Under God, does not mean, One Nation Under Barrack Obama.  It means, One Nation unto the People, and the People want change.  His approval ratings are a testimony to his failures 11 months into office.  But Senators Mikulski and Cardin and the rest of the Leg Humping Obama followers must move on to a new profession.

Dear Mr. (privacy):

Thank you for contacting me about the federal budget deficit.  I appreciate hearing from you about this important issue.

I share your concern about the federal government’s budget deficit.  We have inherited a terrible mess, our economy is teetering, and we need to work together to get out of it.

Taxpayers need to see that the government is serious about being stewards of their money.  When the government uses taxpayer dollars, my priorities are transparency, integrity, and accountability.  I do not support wasteful spending on programs that have no value to our nation.  And I firmly believe that both parties can work together to attack wasteful spending at its root.

A big part of balancing the budget is making sure we have a tax system that works.  During that effort I will have 3 criteria: (1) We need to encourage innovation since that is the key to creating more jobs.  (2) We shouldn’t raise taxes on the middle class – which is why I voted for the Budget resolution this year which provides for $120 billion in middle-class tax cuts.  And (3) everyone should pay their fair share, which means we need to get rid of the loopholes that companies and people sometimes use to avoid paying what they owe.

As the Senate considers tax and spending policy, you can be sure that I will continue fighting to eliminate waste, make sure that the federal government is held accountable, and invests in priorities that lay the foundation for economic recovery and economic growth.

Thanks again for contacting me.  If I can be of any further assistance to you in the future, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Barbara A. Mikulski
United States Senator
