REPUBLICAN LEADERS APPEAL FOR GREATER TRANSPARENCY IN ANNAPOLIS

The Joint Republican Caucus of the Maryland General Assembly sent a letter to Senate President Mike Miller and House Speaker Mike Busch today urging the presiding officers to implement administrative measures to make the legislative process in Annapolis more open to the general public.

The transparency issue was presented on the Senate floor today when Minority Leader Allen Kittleman and Minority Whip Nancy Jacobs proposed rule changes that would require the expeditious posting of committee votes on the legislative website and specific language in the rules to ensure that citizens are allowed in committee voting sessions under the state “open meeting” provisions.  In response, Democrat leaders expressed reluctance to adopt these transparency rule (listen for yourself at click here – select Listen to Senate Proceedings “Tuesday, January 19 – Session 1″ and go to “7:40″ on the clip).

The proposed Senate rules will be considered at a Rules Committee meeting yet-to-be-scheduled.  In the House, proposed rule changes will be taken up later this week.

The full text of the letter is pasted below:

January 19, 2010

Dear President Miller and Speaker Busch:

We believe that there is a new-found public awareness of the lack of transparency in government and we ask that the presiding officers take administrative steps to open the closed doors of state government and let the light shine in.

The actions of the U.S. Congress in making major decisions in the backrooms on the final details of national health care reform has spurred a public clamoring for greater transparency and accountability at all levels of government.

We have voiced our opinion in prior sessions to make state government more accessible to the public. In cooperation with the other side of the aisle, our members have sponsored legislation in prior sessions to reveal the inner workings of state government and leadership has responded favorably to greater access to the general public.

We look forward to a positive reception from the General Assembly leadership on these issues.  While we recognize that members are preparing legislation to address issues of transparency in the General Assembly, we urge the presiding officers to undertake measures this session that can be accomplished administratively without the need of legislation, including the following:

1.      Adopt a rule change that provides for committee votes to be posted on the internet (Rule 38).

2.      Adopt a rule change that guarantees citizens the right to bring audio and video equipment into committee hearings and voting sessions for webcasts of the legislative process. (Rule 36).

3.      Adopt a rule change that provides citizens with “streaming video” coverage of committee hearings if the technology is available in the hearing rooms (Rule 35).

4.      Disband the paid “up-to-the-minute” subscriber services and make instant access to the General Assembly’s legislative information available to all citizens of the state of Maryland.`

The public deserves the highest standards of openness and accountability from their state legislators and we believe that immediately implementing these measures for the 2010 session will go a long way towards fulfilling commitment for transparency to our constituents.

Sincerely,

Allan H. Kittleman                                                        Anthony J. O’Donnell

Maryland Senate Republican Caucus – O’Malley Swimming in Red Ink

Maryland Senate Republican Caucus – O’Malley Swimming in Red Ink

Overshadowed by the deplorable state of the state budget released yesterday
was the admission before the Senate Finance Committee by officials of the
Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation that Maryland needs to borrow
over $300 million from the federal government to replenish the Unemployment
Insurance Trust Fund.

State officials said that the claim volume is unprecedented because of the
elevated levels of joblessness throughtout the state since 2007 (the year
Governor O’Malley took office).

“At this stage, the trust fund is bankrupt,” said Minority Leader Allan
Kittleman (R-Howard, Carroll). “Moreover, Governor O’Malley’s legislative
proposals would make things worse – we must not permanently expand program
costs under a federal mandate that only provides short-term revenues.
Obviously, that fix is not financially sustainable.”

Business groups join Republican legislators in opposition to O’Malley’s
legislation.

Outstanding Article by Ron Miller Senate Candidate – Extraordinary Events, Same Old Response

By any measure, yesterday was an extraordinary day in American politics

One state that has been historically labeled a “blue” state, but is in fact mostly independent, elected a Republican to take the Senate seat occupied for decades by the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

On the other hand, another state that is decidedly “blue,” and has been under Democratic control for almost 150 years, resorted to the same old tricks when confronted with an opportunity to be bold, proving that its leaders are out of fresh ideas and lack the energy and will to tackle the long-term challenges to the state’s fiscal health.

Scott Brown’s victory over Martha Coakley in yesterday’s special election in Massachusetts was described in a Democratic memo as “one of the worst debacles in American political history.” The outcome sent shock waves through the political landscape, and the Democrats can’t decide whether to assign blame, go forward in defiance of the outcome, or just stand in place while the dust settles. There was evidence of all three responses on display yesterday.

The Coakley camp and senior Democratic Party officials exchanged harsh memos blaming each other for the outcome even before the polls had closed. Democrats at the national level want to limit the damage by declaring Coakley an overconfident and incompetent candidate.

That narrative is, in some respects, similar to what came out of the White House after Democrat Creigh Deeds was defeated by Republican Bob McDonnell in Virginia’s race for governor.

In both races, President Obama put his prestige on the line to encourage people to come out and support these candidates, and in both cases, his appeals were not nearly enough. Better to blame the candidates than have these losses be declared a referendum on Obama and his leftist political agenda.

Brown promised the voters of Massachusetts that he would be the vote in the Senate that blocked the Democrats’ health bill, but Obama and his surrogates on Capitol Hill, Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and Harry Reid, were defiant in their expressed intent to press on with this deeply unpopular legislation. Obama Administration officials said a Brown victory would simply force them to fight harder, regardless of the consequences.

How unpopular is the health bill? A recent poll taken by Democracy Corps, a left-leaning public opinion firm led by none other than Democratic strategist and street fighter James Carville, revealed that less than a third of likely voters are “warm” toward the health bill.

Therefore, some Democrats would be forgiven if they didn’t share the President’s zeal for self-immolation. They’ve witnessed a tide that washed over Virginia, New Jersey, and now Massachusetts, and they are more discerning and less stubborn than their leaders.

It will be interesting to see how Democrats in “unsafe” districts respond to yesterday’s outcome. More retirements may be in the offing, and others may suddenly develop a case of prudence when it comes to the health bill or any other ambitious liberal initiative planned for this election year. These results may put immigration reform and cap and trade legislation on the back burner for now.

These events offer a teachable moment for the one-party monopoly in Annapolis – if they weren’t so incorrigible to begin with.

With a $2.9 billion budget deficit staring them in the face, and the state’s day-to-day expenses expected to outpace revenues by $2 billion a year until 2015, the Democrats blinked. Just as they’ve done for every year of Governor Martin O’Malley’s term, they used fund transfers and accounting gimmicks to balance the budget for this year only.

Nothing was done about the services funded by federal stimulus money, which runs out while the services remain. Nothing was done about spending, which has gone up every year of the O’Malley reign. Education and health care costs are going to exceed the state’s ability to pay for them, and then what?

And while nothing was done to raise taxes, the prevailing opinion in Annapolis and around the state is that they’re just waiting until after the election to spring “revenue enhancements” on the Maryland taxpayer.

As we add even more to the state’s already significant tax burden relative to other states in the region, or the nation for that matter, businesses will refuse to hire, close or leave the state. Just as with the record $1.5 billion tax increase levied on us in 2007, revenues will decrease rather than increase.

Wall Street is wondering what the state intends to do for the long term, and the state’s AAA bond rating could be at risk. In response, Senate President Thomas V. “Mike” Miller said, “Martin O’Malley wasn’t elected to decimate the positive things government can do for people.”

Well, he wasn’t elected to have the government do people in, either, and his fiscal policies threaten the livelihoods of Marylanders, and even the viability of the programs so precious to the Democrats and their special interest friends.

Government spending doesn’t create jobs that feed, clothe, and shelter families. Without good jobs, there is no tax revenue to fund the programs in which the Democrats are so proud.

Unless we admit we have a problem that requires a long-term solution, and then get serious about finding and implementing one, we will become the next California.

We’ve talked about what we should do; take a clean sheet and start over, asking the question, “This is a worthy cause, but should government be paying for it?” Transform the tax code to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and keep more money in people’s pockets, trusting them to stimulate the economy through spending, saving, investing, paring down debt, or starting new businesses. Reform the budget process to demand clearly stated and attainable public objectives, define the measures of success, and regularly monitor performance and outcomes. Terminate programs that do not work. Maintain transparency and accountability throughout the process.

In other words, do what any good businessman would do to remain profitable and satisfy the shareholders, in this case the voters of Maryland. Otherwise, Election Day this November could turn out to be another extraordinary day.

What Can Brown Do for Maryland? – Ron Miller for State Senator

What Can Brown Do for Maryland?

I awakened this morning with a renewed sense of hope and purpose, thanks to the voters of Massachusetts.

A few weeks ago, few of us had heard of Scott Brown; now he carries with him to Washington the aspirations of hundreds of millions of people around the country who long for a return to constitutional government and respect for individual liberty.

Congratulations to U.S. Senator-elect Brown for sending a messageto the liberals across this land that if you do not listen to us, you will be sent home in November.

Already there are indications that this message is being heard loud and clear, and foreign phrases like “respect the will of the people” are being uttered by statists who to this point didn’t seem capable of speaking that language.

Not everyone is learning from their mistakes, however. Governor Martin O’Malley’s budget, released yesterday, is nothing more than the same old accounting tricks, fund transfers and reliance on federal funds used to get us by in previous years.

Next year, when their jobs are safe for another four years, expect more tax increases because the level of spending projected until 2015 is unsustainable.

It’s clear to me they no longer have fresh ideas or the energy and will to transform Maryland’s fiscal processes. They’ve been there too long and they are too comfortable with the status quo. We cannot afford to keep them there past November 2, 2010.

We know what needs to be done; take a clean sheet and start over, asking the question, “This is a worthy cause, but should government be paying for it?” Transform the tax code to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and keep more money in people’s pockets, trusting them to stimulate the economy through spending, saving, investing, paring down debt, or starting new businesses.

If a seat previously held for decades by an iconic liberal lion like Ted Kennedy can be captured by a Republican, we can do the same thing in Maryland. We can end the nearly four decade reign of Mike Miller. We now know what’s possible if we work hard and work together. If you’ve been on the fence, it’s now time to jump off!

Would you do two things for me today? If you can spare one McDonald’s lunch meal – $5 – or a week of McDonald’s breakfasts – $25 – please consider making a contribution to our campaign. If you are are good at persuading your family and friends to contribute to your favorite causes, please go here and click on the green “Become a Fundraiser” button. Create your own fundraising site and send out the link to family and friends, encouraging them to contribute as well.

First Virginia, then New Jersey, now Massachusetts. Maryland is next - with your help!

Blessings,

Ron

Prepare For Rebellion, Obama Orders US-Canadian Troops

Kremlin position papers presented to Prime Minister Putin today on his upcoming meeting with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen state that the European-US military alliance has authorized an ‘emergency request’ from President Obama to utilize American and Canadian NATO troops to put down what is expected to be a “rebellion” after the expected January, 2010 ‘declaration of bankruptcy’ by the State of California.

According to these reports, Obama’s fears of rebellion are due to the economic health of California (the United States largest State) after the 3rd largest US State, New York, declared a ‘fiscal emergency’ and refused to release to its cities and towns over $750 Million due them this past week with the Governor of New York, David Paterson, declaring “I can’t say this enough: The state has run out of money.”

New York’s fiscal crisis, however, pales in comparison to California’s, where new economic data points to its expected 5-year budget deficit reaching the staggering amount of over $100 Billion which Russian economists warn will result in budget cuts so steep as to create ‘social chaos’ among this States 36 million citizens.

Reports from the United States are, indeed, confirming the mass movement of military supplies and thousands of Canadian Special Forces Troops to California from the Canadian Forces Base of Petawawa to join their American military counterparts, with ‘secondary’ reports stating that at least 1,000 tanks are massing their too.

Russian Military Analysts are further warning in this report that Obama has decided to implement the feared RAND Corporation (one of the most powerful research arms of the US Military-Industrial-Homeland Security Complex) police state ‘blueprint’ tilted “Stability Police Force for the United States: Justification and Creating U.S. Capabilities” that has been modeled on the Nazi German secret police forces organization Geheime Staatspolizei (Gestapo) meant to ‘control and demoralize’ any opposition to the state.

Even worse for these American people is the legalization process currently embedded in their new health care legislation which will see everyone of them becoming virtual slaves of their government, and as warned about by the Fox News Service in their report titled “Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid of Obama’s Latest Big Brother Plan” and which says:

“Under the Democrats’ national health care scheme not only would OPM be charged with overseeing and administering federal employees health care but they will have the added charge of administering civilian federal health care as well. What does that mean? Basically, that Americans will be treated as “civil servants.” Are you starting to see the danger?

The more government seeks to control our lives the more Orwellian it gets. This “big brother” mentality that “government knows best” and that it is their mission to provide cradle to grave “care” of its citizens will doom America as we know it. Under such a system the individual becomes meaningless and the state becomes the entity upon which we are all forced to rely.”

Unfortunately, with or without these Americans succumbing to the loss of their Nation through the establishment of a police state, their fate appears to have already been sealed as new reports are showing that by their continued saving they are failing to provide China with the money needed through the buying of goods to purchase US bonds to keep them afloat, and which has led to the incredible circumstance of the United States, through its Federal Reserve and other financial entities, becoming the largest buyers of their own debt.

Not being seen in all of these dire events by the American people is that their present collapse as an independent Nation was engineered by their own President Obama, who working in concert with the previous President, George Bush, sold them out to Wall Street by packing his administration with banking insiders have, literally, pillaged the entire economic future of the United States for the benefit of their elite classes and, incredibly, supported these once collapsing banks with over $352 Billion in drug money.

And so grave has it become for ordinary Americans that new reports are now showing that in what was once the most powerful Nation on Earth, there now exists an ‘epidemic’ of child hunger and one their fastest growing cities is a tent-town of newly homeless named “Obamaville” in a stark reminder of the thousands of shanty towns named Hoovervilles built during the Great Depression.

For those American people believing their propaganda media reports that a recovery is underway they couldn’t be more mistaken, as newly released data shows that of the millions of jobs lost these past 2 years almost all of them are permanent. And, as always, these people are being kept from knowing the full and brutal truth of their economic collapse with reports also showing that the latest unemployment figures released by the US government were faked.

But to the greatest fears of these Americans should be the newly released information showing that US scientists have perfected, for the first time in history, a new drugless technique to wipe from these people’s minds their very own memories, and as we can read:

“In a scientific experiment that brings to mind the memory-erasing escapade in the 2004 film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” scientists have blocked fearful recollections in human participants, sans drugs. The results challenge the view that our long-term memories are fixed and resistant to change.”

Russian Military Psychologists have long warned that the West’s longest term plan to control their soon to be rebellious populations lie in memory altering techniques such as are being perfected in the United States and due to be deployed through their mass media in radio programmes, television, and movie broadcasts outlets as these Nations past reliance on the drugging of their citizens through mass fluoridation is becoming more and more ineffectual.

Important to note too is that the economic collapse of the United States is just one of the catastrophic dangers they are facing, as this past week the giant plant genetics company Bayer admitted in a US Federal Court that it has been “unable to control the spread of its genetically-engineered organisms despite ‘the best practices’ to stop widespread contamination” and which may very well see the destruction of the American’s ability to feed themselves as these ‘monster plants’ reap their destruction on Nature.

To all of these events, it is not in our knowing if the American people will awaken from their self induced slumber to arise, as they have many times throughout their history, to reclaim for themselves what is now rapidly being stolen from them. But, and if their present actions are a predictor to what they may do in the future, one can only fear for them as they are marched in lockstep towards an abyss they only fail to see because they won’t open their eyes.

Death to Whitey: Obama Refuses to Acknowledge South African Genocide

Remember when then candidate Obama told “Joe the Plumber” that he thought spreading the wealth around would give everyone a chance? President Obama sincerely believes this, but one has to wonder if this is just the silly pinings of an inexperienced mind. This redistribution of wealth is being carried out right now in Zimbabwe. How’s it working out? Let’s have a look.

Mugabe, who was elected Prime Minister of Zimbabwe in 1980, quickly changed the country’s constitution to allow him to assume the position of President and maintain the office for life. His first act as President of Zimbabwe was a proclamation of war on the country’s white farmers, themselves full citizens of the South African nation. Mugabe began to redistribute the wealth of white farmers to illiterate black militants who know nothing about growing food. As his country sinks into chaos, here’s what Mugabe said at this 85th birthday bash:

“Land distribution will continue. It will not stop. The few
remaining white farmers should quickly vacate their farms as they have
no place there.”

The slaughter of white farmers, based on nothing more than their race, has been ignored in the American media. How, one might wonder, does the the international media miss this?

Brandon Huntley, recently granted assylum in Canada because of the very real threat to his life from State-santioned racists in Zimbabwe.

World-wide, there are over 600 white refugees from South Africa running for their lives.

In the past 10 years, there have been over 31,000 viscious racially motivated attacks on whites, with over 3,000 of them tortured to death.

In April of 2009, two white farmers, a 77-year-old woman and her 57-year-old daughter, were attacked by a black gang and tortured to death. They were stabbed in their vaginas with glass, and their breasts were cut off while they were still alive.

The Zimbabwe economy is in the toilet; the racist government can’t feed its people, because they’ve killed almost all of the people who know how to grow food.

Nestle foods supports this sort of abject racism against whites by purchasing milk from a farm now owned my Mugabe’s family. Not that anyone in Mugabe’s family earned the farm or the money to buy it. They threatened the white owner with violence, forcing him to flee for his life, and Mugabe’s family took it over. If you don’t wan’t to support racism and help support brutal regimes, don’t buy Nestle food products.

So, where is Obama in all of this? Well, Mugabe roundly congratulated the US President on his victory, and asked for Obama’s help in redistributing the wealth of white South Africans to black South Africans to achieve social justice. Obama hasn’t declined. In fact, the Obama Administration has refused to acknowledge the genocide in South Africa.

Given that the President is so concerned with human rights (he signed thePresidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009, releasing $20+ million for Palestinian refugees in Gaza), one would think he would intercede to stop the slaughter in South Africa. Of course, if we look closely, we realize that the order supporting refugees in Gaza is really the funding of Hamas. You know about Hamas, right? They stone women for dating, sever the heads of people that disagree with them, and sponsor terrorist attacks on Jews. And the American tax payer funds it. Just as we will no doubt be called upon to fund the genocide in Zimbabwe.

The racists who have slaughtered thousands of innocent white farmers are starving. They’re not smart enough to grow their own food or maintain any semblance of an agricultural economy. Who do you think will be called upon to send emergency food relief to these murdering racists? American tax payers. Be ready for a fight on this one. As an American family farmer, I don’t want my money funding Mugabe’s racist minions. Let them starve.

Am I a racist? I don’t think so. I have never been ill-mannered with anyone because of their race. I’ve never refused to serve, sit next to, or do business with someone because of their race. I don’t believe my race makes me superior. If that makes me a racist, then so be it. I know that white people are being targeted world-wide solely on the basis of their race, so I’m speaking out. Just like I would if this were happening to black farmers somewhere.

Mr. Obama, how many must die before YOU make a noise? When you send the soldiers for my land so you can “spread the wealth around” will you guarantee me a fair price and safe passage?

Obama’s decline by the Chicago Tribune – Beautiful isn’t it?

Obama, the King of Siam

In his book “The Audacity of Hope,” Barack Obama had the insight to explain much of his political appeal. “I serve as a blank screen,” he wrote, “on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views.” That lack of definition proved a big asset in the presidential campaign, allowing him to attract support from liberals who saw Hillary Rodham Clinton as too hawkish, moderates who saw her as too liberal, and independents who saw John McCain as too conservative and too partisan.

Nancy Pelosi Approval Ratings all time low with Congress 19 percent

Time for ‘We the People’ to Drain the Swamp

Letters to the Editor | Wed, 01/20/2010 – 6:07 am | Read 23 | Commented 0 | Emailed 0

By Gerald F. Stahlecker

To The Editor: When the Democrats reclaimed Congress in the 1996 midterm election, then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi pledged to “drain the swamp” of ethics violations that allegedly went uninvestigated under Republican control. Pelosi further said, “Democrats promise to lead the most honest, open and most ethical Congress in history.” That term, “drain the swamp,” conjures up a myriad of images, a swamp being a place in which many slimy, loathsome creatures exist in the muck and mire just below the surface. I took Pelosi at her word. After 23 years in Congress, she must know of what she speaks. And, as the newly elected Speaker of the House, she would have the power to remove any of those slimy, loathsome creatures she works with every day that broke the law. Then, two years and one election later, on Thanksgiving eve, Nov. 26, 2008, Pelosi said about the ethics investigation of Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), “I have been assured the report will be completed by the end of this session of Congress, which concludes on Jan. 3, 2009. I look forward to reviewing the report at that time.” Rangel, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which appropriates (by taxes) all money spent by the government, was accused of not reporting and paying taxes on the rental income of a beachfront villa he owns in the Dominican Republic. In a less polite way of saying it, Rangel is a tax cheat. He doesn’t deny that he receives rental income, only that he was ignorant of the law that he must report it. This from a man who has oversight power of the IRS. What’s the latest update on Pelosi’s solemn vow? The House Ethics Committee investigating Rangel has issued “close to 150 subpoenas; interviewed 34 witnesses; took over 2,100 pages of transcripts; reviewed and analyzed 12,000 pages of documents; and held over 30 subcommittee meetings.” Talk about the inmates running the asylum. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Good Ole’ Charlie is still chairman, which sends a clear message to the American public that our elected representatives refuse to abide by the same laws they impose on us. If we need more proof, one must only look to the health care reform bill from which they also exempted themselves because the generous plan they have is much better. However, Pelosi’s minions are capable of showing outrage. Do you remember their demands for the head of Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) who shouted, “You lie” when President Obama said that the health care bill did not include an exemption for illegal aliens. Although Wilson’s statement was true at the time (the exemption has since been deleted from the bill, at least for the time being), it was a breach of polite decorum and Wilson was brought to the well of the House chamber and given a “resolution of disapproval.” The Democrats are phonies full of indignant rage only when it comes to the ethics of a member of the opposition party. They simply refuse to police and remove their own. Time is running out for Pelosi and the rest of the politicians who run Washington with a 19 percent approval rating. The result of our governor’s race proves that when the voters are unhappy the party in power is held responsible. I’m going to love the election results in November when “We, The People” are given a chance to drain the swamp. GERALD F. STAHLECKER Seaville

Americans For Propeperity Responds to the Election of Scott Brown – Massachusetts said NO to ObamaCare

Last night, the people of Massachusetts spoke.  In crystal clear fashion, they told President Obama and Congressional Democrats to end this health care takeover now.

The meaning and magnitude of Scott Brown’s historic victory is truly stunning.

Consider Massachusetts.  Before Mr. Brown’s victory last night no Republican Senate candidate in Massachusetts had won since 1972.  The seat he was seeking had been held by Ted Kennedy for almost 50 years and the Kennedy family was on the campaign trail against him.  All 10 congressional districts in Massachusetts are held by Democrats.  In 2008, the congressional Democrat in Massachusetts with the lowest winning percentage was Barney Frank – and he won with 68%!  Just 12% of voters in Massachusetts are registered Republicans.

But, Scott Brown did not win because voters suddenly love the Republican Party.  He won not with a message of “Send more Republicans to Congress.”  Instead, his most salient message was “send me to Washington to be the 41st vote against the health care takeover.”

The Democrats know this as well.  On Sunday when President Obama campaigned with Ms. Coakley, neither of them said one word about health care — the issue on which the President has staked everything.  They know that even in Massachusetts — the liberal bastion of the nation – their health care takeover has been rejected by a majority of the people.

Take a moment and congratulate yourself.  You are making a difference for our nation.

Your tireless work, sacrifice and refusal to give up are paying off.

However, this health care battle is not over.  Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid are already considering trying to jam the health care takeover through before Senator-elect Brown can be seated.  We’ve got to keep the pressure on the Senate and House.

I know we’ve asked you to contact your Senators and member of Congress often.  But right now we have momentum in a big way and we’ve got to use it.  CLICK HERE to call your Senators and member of Congress today to tell them — “Listen to what the people are saying — just last night in Massachusetts.  End this health care takeover NOW.  Move on to addressing jobs and spending and getting our economy moving again.”

Let’s flood the lines to Washington and the district offices today while the election results are still fresh.

Forward this email to your family and friends; put it on your Facebook and Twitter.  Let’s get as many of our fellow Americans as possible to join us in making these calls at this key moment in the health care battle.

Reid, Pelosi and Obama want us to believe their health care takeover is “inevitable.”  You and I know better.

Last night is just more proof.

Tim

PS:  Right now, we’ve got a golden opportunity.  Let’s use it.  Call your Senators and your member of Congress and tell them to heed the overwhelming call to start over with health care reform.

Let me know you’ve called your elected leaders by emailing me at

Meet Charles Lollar for Congressional 5th District

Charles Lollar for 5th Congressional District

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts..” ~ William Shakespeare

Charles Lollar is a concerned citizen, taxpayer, hard working business executive, Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and most importantly a father of four and a devoted husband.

Charles was born in Toppenish, Washington. A sleepy western town boasting a diverse mix of cultures.  His father, a tax consultant, instilled in him an old fashioned work ethic while his mother, a librarian, taught him how to be compassionate and caring for his fellow man.  Two principles which would have a huge impact on his future.

At the age of 13 Charles delivered newspapers before going to school every morning.  He worked his way through both high school and college by bagging groceries, stocking shelves, and selling items door-to-door.

After attending McEachern High School, Charles earned an AA degree from Emory University, a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science from Kennesaw University and an MBA from Regent University.

Not surprisingly, his “get up and go” attitude, willingness to work hard and desire to excel in service to others led him to join the one organization that would enable him to achieve all of the above, the United States Marine Corps.  Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he was on active duty in Kosovo.  During his time in the Marines, he graduated from Officer Candidate School and earned several medals and decorations including: the Kosovo Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon, and Joint Meritorious Unit Award.  Presently, Charles serves as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserves where he is an intelligence officer.
